What is the purpose of PSISE?
The purpose of PSISE is to promote the interests of the Homes, to support the quality of care, to provide support to its members, to facilitate the network of professional relations and education as well as the dissemination of best practices.
What networking opportunities are there through PSISE?
The Association provides networking opportunities among its members, including conferences, meetings and events. These networking opportunities allow Housing professionals to share knowledge, experience and best practice, as well as exchange ideas, and work together to drive development and improvement of care.
What services do PSISE members offer?
In addition to the care services for the elderly in the premises of the Houses, there are units that offer resident care as well as patient transport with a specially configured car for wheelchair transport.
Is PSISE involved in European programs?
At the moment, as an Association, we do not participate in European programs. Some units are in their own programs. The aim of the Association is to participate in European programs together with other organized bodies
Are there collaborations with various University organizations for student education?
There are units that accept medical, nursing and physiotherapy students with their mentors for practical training.
Are there Homes for the elderly that provide services for patients with severely debilitating illnesses?
Yes, there are units that deal partially or specifically with various groups of patients suffering similar illnesses, e.g. dementia groups.
